The Kuhio School Community Council Needs YOUR help!
We are looking for Parent and Community members to serve on the council and help Kuhio School keep improving.
Service term will be from April 2019 to May 2021.
Send in the attached Nomination form and Candidate Form to the office.
We are adding text messaging capability to SchoolMessenger for Kuhio School, the system we use now for phone calls and emails. The system will be configured to send text messages to cell phone numbers whose recipients have agreed to receive them. Over the next weeks, we will be encouraging all stakeholders to confirm we have accurate phone numbers and encourage them to participate.
There are only two requirements for a recipient to receive messages from you via SMS text: the recipient’s wireless number imported into SchoolMessenger and “Opt-In Confirmation” from the recipient’s wireless device. These requirements address any concerns related to the accuracy of the database and costs associated with receiving text messages.
Recipients can easily opt-in by simply sending “Y” (or “Yes”), via text message, to our SchoolMessenger Short Code number. We will be inviting recipients to do this over the next several weeks and continue throughout the year.
The wireless number(s) must be in the SchoolMessenger database associated with a student or staff ID number; these numbers are updated nightly. If a recipient’s number SMS Text number is changed, or a new number added, in our student information system database, the new number will automatically be sent an Opt-In message.

On April 5, 2018 Kuhio School was notified that we would be receiving a citation related to our parking areas. We have 30 days to comply with the terms of the citation.
This is a courtesy notification that parking without a permit on Kuhio School property will result in your car being towed. The current extended parking area will be closed. Any cars found parked in the closed area (permitted or not) will be removed.
